Project overview
Salon Spotter connects customers with salons, beauty parlours and spas. Its customer and partner applications bring service discovery, seat availability, bookings and provider operations into a two-sided mobile marketplace.
The problem
An appointment interface is only useful when its availability reflects what is happening at the salon. Customers and partners need a consistent view of seats and bookings as providers update services and new requests arrive.
Application design and integrations
-
Customer discovery: location-based browsing connects customers with nearby providers and available services.
-
Partner operations: providers manage business information, services, seats and incoming appointments.
-
MQTT events: publish/subscribe messaging distributes availability and booking-state changes across application views.
-
Booking lifecycle: requests, confirmations and updates connect the customer journey with the provider’s operations.
-
Notifications: provider-triggered customer messages and push notifications bring attention to changes that require action.
What the application enables
The platform links browsing and booking to the salon’s live operations. It demonstrates event-driven mobile state, resource availability and the coordination of customer and provider workflows.
